Jeevanrashi acts as a responsible Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). We only collect the minimum birth details strictly necessary to calculate astronomical planetary positions and Vedic charts. We never sell your birth records, never rent your email, and never utilize your confidential astrological queries to train external public AI models.
1. DPDP Act, 2023 Statutory Commitment
This Privacy Policy is formulated in strict accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 (including the IT Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code Rules, 2021).
Under the DPDP Act:

jeevanrashi.com) determines the purpose and means of processing personal digital data. - Data Principal: You, the individual to whom the personal digital data relates, retain statutory sovereignty over your information.
- Consent: Personal data is processed solely on the basis of your explicit, affirmative consent provided when submitting your birth information or authenticating your account.
2. Personal Digital Data We Collect
To calculate mathematically precise Vedic horoscopes and provide astrological guidance, we collect only the following essential parameters:
Astrological Calculation Data
- Full Name (used for chart labeling)
- Date of Birth (Day, Month, Year)
- Exact Birth Time (Hour, Minute, AM/PM)
- Birth City, State, Country
- Precise Geographic Coordinates (Latitude & Longitude)
Account & Query Data
- Email Address & Google OAuth Profile ID
- Astrological questions asked to Acharya Somesh
- Saved Kundli charts and PDF purchase orders
- Device IP address, browser type & timestamp logs for security
3. Lawful Purposes of Data Processing
In accordance with the principle of Purpose Limitation under Section 6 of the DPDP Act, your personal data is collected and processed solely for the following specified, legitimate purposes:
- Computing Vedic planetary positions (Graha Sthiti), Lagna, Rashi, and Navamsha (D9) charts using official Lahiri Ayanamsa algorithms.
- Synthesizing personalized AI astrological readings and Dasha interpretations via Acharya Somesh.
- Generating and delivering ordered digital PDF Kundli dossiers and compatibility reports.
- Authenticating user sessions and providing access to your saved charts history.
- Complying with statutory tax, electronic invoicing, and regulatory record-keeping requirements under Indian law.
4. Encryption & Security Safeguards
Jeevanrashi applies rigorous enterprise-grade security practices to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of personal data:

All network traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted using modern TLS 1.3 cryptographic suites.
AES-256 at Rest
Saved user birth profiles and encrypted session identifiers are safely housed behind authenticated firewalls.
Secure Tokenization
We employ cryptographic JWT sessions and never store plaintext passwords or raw payment credentials.
5. Third-Party Payment Processors
Financial transactions for PDF reports and reading credits are executed exclusively through certified, PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateways:
When making a purchase, your payment information (Card Number, CVV, Net Banking credentials, or UPI VPA) is processed directly by Razorpay (for domestic Indian INR payments) or Stripe (for international cards). Jeevanrashi never sees, accesses, logs, or stores your payment card details or CVVs on our servers. We receive only a cryptographic transaction token, order reference ID, and payment status confirmation.
6. Zero Data Sale & AI Privacy Safeguards
We maintain an unequivocal policy regarding user personal data:
- No Data Monetization: We never sell, lease, rent, or trade your personal birth records, contact details, or question history to third-party data brokers, marketing agencies, or affiliate networks.
- AI Privacy: The conversations you have with Acharya Somesh are processed solely to formulate answers to your current query. Your personal birth dates and private life dilemmas are never published, shared publicly, or fed into open machine learning training sets.
7. Your Statutory Rights as a Data Principal
Under Chapter III of the DPDP Act, 2023, you enjoy the following statutory rights regarding your personal digital data:
Right to Access Summary
You have the right to request a clear summary of your personal birth data held by us and the processing activities undertaken.
Right to Correction & Update
You have the right to correct inaccurate birth times, cities, or personal details recorded in your account dashboard.
Right to Erasure (Deletion)
You may request the permanent deletion of your profile, saved Kundli charts, and conversation history at any time.
Right to Nominate
You have the right to designate another individual who may exercise rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
8. Data Retention & Permanent Erasure
We retain personal digital data only as long as necessary to fulfill the operational purposes for which it was collected, or to adhere to statutory accounting and tax regulations:
If you wish to delete your birth details, saved charts, or conversation logs, simply submit a written request from your registered email address to privacy@jeevanrashi.com with the subject line “DPDP Data Erasure Request”.
Upon verification, our security team will purge all personal records from active databases within 30 days, retaining only non-identifiable financial transaction logs required by statutory tax audits.
9. Protection of Children's Privacy
In compliance with Section 9 of the DPDP Act, 2023:
- The Jeevanrashi platform and services are intended exclusively for individuals aged 18 years or older.
- We do not knowingly process personal data or offer targeted astrological counseling directly to minors without verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian.
- If we discover that personal data of an individual under 18 has been provided without parental consent, we will promptly delete such data from our records.
